During my work in Volkswagen Design Center Potsdam. I learn a lot about modern car design process. There every designer had to build his own 3D models, render it and present.. this process was so open minding. Finally i was able to work on my own independent of communication disaster that every designer facing daily. I didn’t have to explain anyone what i want to do.. i knew what i wanted and i just started building it.
Since I did my thesis project back in 2008, Alpine was a brand that I had a special feeling about. Every time I would see a photo of classic A110, I would think about how I would design it today.. I almost knew how it should look like in every detail.
Classic rear engine proportions, dynamic and yet compact silhouette. Simple but sculptural overall design. Bodyside architecture based on single shoulder line design. Which is going from the front to the rear of the car, connecting together all key elements of the exterior. Bodyside is clean, Coke bottle with dominant rear fender architecture.
Hope you enjoy the project..as much as I did working on it.
